    Yesterday I started my Mimir session while installing Win 11 LTSC onto my PC and configuring it. Everytime the PC (connected via USB) rebooted or played a sound, it chopped up the audio fed via PI2AES via coax. The same happened If the Lynx E44 locked.
    
    Just disconnect and defeat the flexibility of multiple inputs and "once and done" cable management. No Sir.

    Apart from that I hate that sampling rate switching cuts off the beginning of a track (Qobuz via BubbleUpnP) and no setting helps (buffer etc). I wish there was a delay setting of maybe up to 500ms.

    The delay is one of my biggest complaints. Others have figured this out like PiCorePlayer and Volumio. Vintage DACs take longer to get a lock.

    Not defending it but the 4080 has major economies of scale. Otherwise there’s basically no reason why a DAC should ever cost more than than a motherboard, let alone a computer

  Can the ZDS take 6SN7 despite different electrical properties to the 6SL7 (gain aside) or will it take damage?

    Yes, I did this by accident. Actually, mine was delivered with the lower gain tube (that I think was also an accidental mistake). I've since switched to the correct gain, so I only ran this way for about a year.

    I know its a different amp, but I use a 6SN7 instead of a 6SL7 in my A&S Mogwai all the time. Change was approved by Justin @ A&S and he indicated that the 2 tubes were essentially identical, except for the lower gain on the 6SN7.

    Craig replied and doesn't recommend it as it has twice the heater current. I hesitated messaging him as he's retired as far as I know but I wanted to be absolutely sure.

    The JAR mod takes out all the congestion and cleans up the space. And again, it's very dark but not mushy or muffled or rolled off in the sense of hiding something. It's full of high resolve, detailed, the beautiful timbre.
