Sad to read how great the ECP DSHA3F is with the Auteur...any SS amp significantly better than Lyr 3 in the $1.5K range? Future planning... Feb 17, 2019 at 2:47 PM

Not that I'm unhappy with Lyr 3, but want to know which SS amp (no tube rolling) would be considered by those more knowledgable to be an appreciable upgrade for the money and not side-grade for can like Auteur. BW mentioned, any others?

BW has a bit better slam and more pleasing/organic tone. And has solid synergies with zmf dynamics (eikon, atti, aeo, atr). But still think lyr 3 is a tad more transparent -- resolving more accurate volume gradations and micro-details in less biased ways. So maybe not a clear upgrade.

Do you know what is really ironic? You have iron and you must describe it. Iron-like does not sound right. Iron-y though sounds like iron that can rust. Now that is literally iron-y. (Yes, I like word jokes. They are so wordy...)

I remember installing an add-on for Facebook that deleted all comments, posts, and likes I had made between dates of my choice (aka when I was a teen), and thinking it was hilarious that I trusted the sketchy third party add-on more than I did Facebook's advertising practices and partners.

For years I thought I'd love to learn to play an instrument. I thought It was only a matter of time.
Nope. I like to listen, that's enough. For people like Quincy, they have to compose/play. It's not a choice. I gotta see that one.

You gotta watch those Stewart Copeland written tunes. I think that is why he got along so well with Claypool in the Oysterhead project.

The fictional backstory- a cat was buried in an apple field, was reincarnated as an apple/cat, and needs to go to Hollywood and become a rock star return to cat form.

        Makes perfect sense.

@Lyer25 it has its share of jumpscare moments (which isn't something I enjoy either), but they're more or less integral to the storyline, which deals with familial issues apart from the supernatural stuff.

As a relatively heavy disc renter, it has become progressively harder to receive popular titles without multiple week delays. Netflix rental allocation algorithm favors those who keep discs out longer.

https://dvd.netflix.com - not sure how much longer that'll be around. I still prefer Blu-ray for the uncompressed sound and best PQ, but streaming is usually good enough. Favorite flicks (not shows) I end up buying on disc anyway.
