    You might want to evaluate the Soft (LED dark) filter mode by upsampling 44K source material to 88K and adjusting dac2541 gain to -3 dBFS.

    I remember quite liking the sound from the 1421 loaner, so looking forward to this one quite a bit. Haven't heard a Bifrost 2.

    @Syzygy : I was in that loaner tour and liked 1421, too. I could remain sane. Similar with the 1541 audition occured months later. This time around, perfection seems to be obtained with much higher maturity, which is driving me crazy. Oh well.

    One could complain that the 1541 lacked that final couple percent that pushes it into "magic." The 2541 shows no such deficiency.
