    Basics: turntable should always be earthed to pre-amp, and both should be earthed to amp. I expect you got that covered already, but, just in case.

    ... and make sure that at least one of those things /has/ a three-pin mains connection with earth connected!

    Oh, and I used to have to separately earth my system to house piping, which got rid of the remaining hum.
