It's the late teens early twenties people that care too much for the absolute justice. Younger people simply don't care and older people have much more important problems to care about.

People aren't that dumb. If they are, then Darwin and combination of bad luck or bad genetics is around to help. Reverse cancelling only serves to make Rogan more believable to those most susceptible. Best not to bring further attention to these guys.
People are that dumb. Just because you are smart does not mean everyone else is. This kind of thinking gave us Drumpf. If your theories were true, people like Alex Jones would not have an audience at all. Rogan was kind of mindless entertainment, but he is not being very responsibile - advocating ivermectin and such...pfft. People do dumb shit because someone said it was okay, like drink their own pee.
Well guess what, Joe just agreed to bring in more "balanced" views. Now all this attention only served to legitimize him. It doesn't go Joe influences people so they become dumb. It goes dumb people follow Joe. NY bitching only made Joe more popular. Joe knows this and that's why he does this kind of content - to make people make a big fuss for more listeners.
This is what's wrong with entertainment liberals. They have zero clue how to employ skillful means to make sure the likes of Joe truly goes away. Trump would have shrivelled up and died if CNN/MSNBC gave him no attention. These buttheads are like evil Star Trek aliens that can only exist with attention and drama. They thrive and get stronger from discord.
Which leads to another point. Should people spouting the unacceptible be "cancelled?" Moot, and I won't say yes or no, partly because I dislike the black or white way these things are viewed these days: lack of subtlety, lack of thought.
Should an organisation pay $millions to such people? I find that question a little easier to answer.
