    Imagine thinking FR and distortion are enough to capture what something sounds like and evaluate it with confidence. At that point, why bother listening at all for the purpose of reviews? Seems a cool headphone regardless, sorry to rant

    I might have enough information to share. The creator of it used to fix my Elex, later he did more repairing on planar and estat headphones, then he started his project.

    Based on some Chinese reviews, it could be more similar to HE6SE, rather than OG HE6. But I didn't really trust those reviews since most of the reviews were made during a loaner tour, and in China, people tend to wax the words a bit if they can try the unit of free (me included), the lack of weak points in their reviews said something. And I don't think the reviewers were that professional...

    The price is 3300 CNY in China, so ~$500. Let's say the shipping would be $200, so still $300 less. I can help you people getting one, if you are really interested.

    I would choose HE6SE, and that's exactly what I did.
