    Quality wise my Cardas is over 20 years old and still good. As for sound… maybe a bit smoother?

    Bear in mind that there a good chance that whatever effect the cable has will sound more pronounced as the pads wear down. I've never liked the stock cable: too thin, seems fragile, can accidentally choke you. I use an HD-650 cable.

    best bang for buck: HD650 cable. best bang for buck (not OEM and comes with a pen and a bottle opener): Audiophile Ninja. best sound for the buck: Forza Claire HPC. imho, ymmv.
