Look, this is sub pop town. And folks showed up in force. Whatever people say, not since Freddie Mercury have we seen a performer command stadiums for hours and leave them wanting more.
At the peak of her power. The show is meticulously put together (more broadway show that you might think). Connected to many people at different levels. If you can, attend.
I think that my biggest was Grateful Dead, London, 1990. Might have been about 10k? But it was still possible to feel that one was watching the band. I don't think they even had any big screens
I'm not a huge U2 fan, they're OK, but I've seen them in concert twice. Once at the old Houston Rockets arena because the Pixies opened and once at Cowboys stadium because wife and friends wanted to go. Cowboys stadium audio was beyond bad. Insanely bad. Arena was OK but hard to remember since it was like 1992 or '93.
Best sound quality I remember was the national auditorium in Mexico City, when Peter Gabriel was promoting “Up”. Yeah, that was 21 years ago and “i/o” was almost ready. 21 years waiting for a studio album. #letmetellyouhowifeelrightnow
