    I've had the A500 SE (with the Purifi drivers) for about 15 months now and love them. They're not the final word in any one area of sound, and lack the midrange magic of a good tube system, but they sound great to me overall and the convenience factor is off the charts.

    I was looking at their passives awhile back and decided not to pull the trigger at the time. I don't see the A500 in their lineup anymore, I assume the Anniversary 10 replaced it?

    That's correct. The A500 SE is similar to the current A10 but has a second Purifi 6.5 mounted to the rear of the cabinet. Pretty powerful bass response for a small monitor. It cost about $1200 more than the current model; I think it was a bit pricey for their target market hence the A10.

    ok... so then they don't really have an powered equivalent to the S400mkii anymore (which is what I almost pulled the trigger on)... strange.
