Even if they had installed it, you would want to at least check it yourself before playing records. Collect the few tools needed and learn a critical skill for LP playback. A little fussy, not rocket science.
I forgot tweezers. Here is a quick youtube video just to give you an idea. They mention azimuth in the text (that's what the mirror is for)
but don't really go into it. http://tinyurl.com/j2rn7ov
The u-turn page is short on instructions. As far as installing a cartridge - "If you choose to change your cartridge, we strongly suggest picking up a stylus gauge to ensure that your tracking force is correct. Let us know if you need help with this!"

On second thought, I'm wondering if you took the cartridge body off. If that is the cartridge body sitting on the turntable, maybe the stylus is in there. It looks like there may be a stylus guard on the stylus body. (I'm not familiar with that particular cartridge.)
That's great, but Dino was right, the silver lining is you've got to gather the tools and learn how to do this. It's inexpensive, important, and kind of fun.
That may be down the road for Perot. I'm guessing that he is just enjoying playing records for the time being. I had no choice when I bought my first turntable. I had to set everything up before I could play it. Deep discount, no assistance type of store. I liked it like that, though.
