Since it is the holidays, and I really appreciate this community, particularly those who have given away stuff, I wanted to get in on the giving. Now, while I am feeling quite generous, I am on too much of a budget to completely give stuff away, so I want to offer up a custom cable (possibly two) at cost. I have HD800, Hifiman, HD6XX, Mr Speakers, and the two most common IEM connectors available as well as an assortment of RCAs. I have a couple UPOCC wires available. My calling card at one point was sleeving each wire individually before braiding, but I can build to your spec. I also have some very nice cable (2 Type 2 litz UPOCC stranded copper channels with damping and 3 shielding layers) that I can make into interconnects. Almost all of the materials I have I got at less than retail, so cost is going to be quite low compared to what you can get from their origins.

So we are talking a $200-300 cable for a LOT less, made to your tastes. PM me if you have any questions or are interested. I also have pictures of some of my past work if any enticement is needed.

    Happy Holidays!

A gallery that I made several years ago and that hasn't been updated since then  http://jeaudiodesigns.wix.com/jeaudiodesigns

Oh, and a warning that it will take several weeks for me to make the cable. My company (ie me) is preparing a business proposal that is due by end of year that will take up most of my time until then.

Great, now my balanced cables look like a 2-year old made them. Albeit a genius one that can handle a soldering station, but completely lacks fine motor and color coordination skills... very very nice looking cables.

Lol, thanks. My first ones were cringe worthy, so don't fret. I am far from a genius but have decent motor and design skills so I kept at it. My girlfriend appreciated both when we remodeled our apartment.

Wow!!! Those cables look beautiful... I'm kind of tempted to take you up on your offer on having a hd650 cable built. I've always wanted a nice custom cable but could never justify the cost of buying one.

Thanks guys! I've gotten a couple PMs so once I hash out details tomorrow, I will see how much wire I have left. It's been a while since I last built a fancy cable so I'm excited by the opportunity.

I'm humbled by the positive comments and interest in my cables. I have a dozen interested parties at this point and I'm afraid I won't be able to help out everyone. I will do my best to sort everything out this weekend and get back to everyone. Thank you all.

I've only made a couple cables so far, but I was immediately inspired by yours shown over on HF. I even had to get some burgundy parachord because that Senn cable is so damn pretty.

Curious, why do some cables have 4 leads going into each cup?

Hah, my Ron Burgundy cable! The ones you see with 4 wires going to the cups are 8 wire monstrosities with 2 wires for each channel and return. Looks cool (only real reason to do it), but really tests your planning and soldering skills once you get to the headphone connectors. Trying to fit 4 wires into an HD800 connector almost ruined me.

Package from Markertek finally arrived with connectors that I didn't have on hand, so I have everything needed to start building (except for a week of no work...)! I ended up helping out 7 of you with cables, adapters, etc. so please bear with me as I make my way through. I will update you all individually with progress notes and pics as I can.
