    Up for sale is my OG CA Solaris. This was bought from @Stuff Jones.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with this IEM and it still is one of my favorite IEMs to date. I just can't justify having it for my use case. Nair gets more use due to comfort (I don't find the Solaris uncomfortable in any way, just Nair is better here for my ears). The Solaris though for sure is the better IEM in technicalities. In an ideal world I'd keep both, but in my situation where I'm using my headphone rig the most, speakers and vinyl second, and most casual use goes to IEMs, it makes no sense for me to own this.

    Condition is very good. I don't see any visible marks or scratches. Will come with all the ear tips (the ones I used will be cleaned before shipping) and all other accessories. Also will come with a balanced MCCX to 4.4mm balanced litz cable from Alo audio (this was unused by me).

    Open to Friends and contributors (for contributors, I reserve the right to use my discretion. I do not want the price to be taken advantage of and flipped. I'd rather keep them and bring them out for the occasional use that it's currently getting).

    Price is $650, includes shipping and PP fees for CONUS buyers. International friends, we can work something out.

    Why haven’t these sold? Have they depreciated that much? This is less than half the original price for one of the best iem’s on the market. They sell on eBay for 1k at least.

    I was gonna say this as soon as you put the listing up but now that it might count as a bump:

    For the love of microUSB dongles I blanched at the price because this is f'ing ridiculous for what I also think is one of the best damn IEMs ever. I seriously considered selling my gear off to buy a Solaris a while back to run out of my phone and if I had the money for this I would happily pay the premium for top-class shipping all the way here.

    Someone please just get this before I do something that'll take me months to undo. The only reason I don't have a Solaris and still have my desktop rig is my ears cringe at anything bigger than a bullet-style IEM chassis like Etymōtic or Final Audio Design— the sound is marvelous.

    ChaCha, GLWS. I dunno if its a depressed used market right now or CA confusing things with perhaps too many versions, but I got a PM offer for my Solaris OG $500 originally posted F/S @ $950. Seriously. WTF? It's not like this is some garbage plastic IEM with 88 BAs and 17 piezoelectric doorbell buzzers and a fake leather case that smells like Chinese cigarette smoke.

    Crap, this happened? There's a 2020 variant with a shorter nozzle out, sure (eh, I like em long ;)), but with how that's apparently even brighter than the OG I'm not sure the voicing is going to be many people's cup of tea without proper tips to ameliorate excessive brightness.

    $950 used is a good price, $650 is gobsmackingly generous, asking for a cut to $500 unprompted is somewhat odious.
