Yes, sadly. I'd need to then go and drown my sorrows, rocking and sobbing as I did, though, which would eat into any Jude-style profit.

This thread is a circle-jerk. Was trying to tell people in a less than direct way that I dislike these kinds of threads on SuperBAF. If you don't have your hands on the product, or any special insight into it, don't bother posting. Otherwise it's noise. Basically going forward, anytime this happens, I will change the narrative of the thread to one about Jude.

Love the music but hate the marketing hype. Nanometer diaphragm does not matter in the grand scheme of sound reproduction or the weight of the headphones. Maybe it matter that it has an expensive price tag.

invisible to the naked eye? then wtf am i seeing in the video?

I would like to add that here in SBAF we do the best we can to not redact threads into oblivion. IMO many off-topic post or set of post are rich in content. Some of the stuff discussed here about HFM seems important to me, and in many ways may help people by providing different points of view about an issue or two.

More than a circle jerk, I see a topic coming up regarding HFM in general that may not relate to the monolith directly. So here we are.

The Youtube preview frame, as I see it in your post, shows a guy staring into the abyss of a giant anus.

    Quote from HFM marketing materials....
"The nanometer diaphragm may look like a giant anus*, but its much more than that; you see, it's invisible and yet has extremely high tenacity like a real anus. We spent millions of R&D dollars developing it so we had to develop new highly efficient production methods** to be able to offer you our flagship for a meager $3000"
*the giant anus you see in our promotional materials is a CGI interpretation of what this diaphragm would look like if it were in fact visible
**we dump all our components in a giant bin and hope for the best

You appear to have coined an excellent new slogan.

I've always had pretty good luck with the hfm phones until recently when my 560's driver failed. Now there's an uneasy feeling I get every time I listen to my he-6's.pricing now is just to ridiculous for for the quality of the product.

Your HE-6s should be fine. They are near indestructible. A lot of people here prefer the classics. HE-500, HE-5, HE-6.

I would almost agree, but from the HE-5LE on up. A bunch of people had the HE-5 wood crack on them. Durability wise...

1st gen HE series > nth gen (current) HFM playnars > nth gen HFM IEMs > sushi nori (seaweed sheets) > 1st gen HFM IEMs

They charged me 145.00 ea. For the 560 drivers four months out of warranty. I really didn't have a choice.
