You didn’t get it, Mr OJneg, or at least you didn't get the full(er) picture — true, too, perhaps I may have not succeeded in conveying what I wanted to say. (BTW, kind of a late reply to something I’d written 5 days ago — seems you bothered to take the time to read my post/s this time. though. Good)

I spoke about a smell, red flags, worrying signs, if you like. This may well be connected to the fact I’ve been noticing many more HF-like posts recently on SBAF, way more than I than I ever expected to see on this site. I suppose in a way you could say I was seeing a new trend I was not comfortable with, and now in a thread dedicated to a couple of phones I was personally interested in, and from a manufacturer I have a decent amount of respect for. I know SBAF will never be like HF, but hey…

As an aside but relevant, I think. Many/most of you are headphone guys and don’t know what’s been going on in the IEM threads/world in the last 8 years (I joined HF in 2008). Unlike most people here, I’m an IEM guy and don’t know much of what goes on in the cans forums (here or HF) even though I own the HD800 & HD600 (and a couple other cans in the past). I even pointed out this to God Currawong (as I like to call him) when I pointed out to him that most, if not all, HF mods had no fuicking clue what was going on in the IEM/portable phones forums because most mods reside in the ‘big boys’ forums. Things changed gradually, but certainly not enough…this is a much longer story…

Now, and related to your reply, please don’t get me started on Kunlun’s posts addressed to Ken. Although Kunlun cannot blatantly be the same arse-licking character (in public) he has been in the past with other manufacturers (on HF), seeing him suck up to Ken was just the icing on the cake. And forgive me for saying this, but even here I notice how fandom and allegiances work — yes, human nature, after all, is human nature, no matter whether it’s the ‘almighty’ (new) SBAF site or good ol’ Hype-Fi. One thing, incidentally, I like about my audio friends is that they don’t come rushing to the rescue of poor ol’ msuic_4321, or start giving likes and dislikes to support their good avian friend. And some of these friends are reputable members here and elsewhere. The sparrow, btw, has never been comfortable with ‘sparrow fans’ (I know, I know, perhaps it’s hard to believe some characters may have ever been [big] sparrow fans)

True, I may have spoken too soon about Ken and the risk of a possible eventual celebrity status on SBAF, but in a way I guess that inadvertently helped put people in check, a reminder of sorts, as I was noticing a bit too much enthusiasm for KB’s presence on the site. Mr Kunlun’s always clever arse-licking ways with people ‘in the know’ are well documented, well, very well documented to several of us who have a pretty good idea who this Kunlun character really is. Some of these people don’t have the bad reputation the sparrow seems to have among some, BTW, quite the contrary, actually. Perhaps it is the sparrow who has managed to fool them!!

Anyway, as you know by now, I love the Andromeda, and as far as I can see, CFA is a fairly nice company and KB a pretty nice and decent guy who seems to be making genuinely good products at not so unreasonable prices (considering the trends we’ve seen in the last few years in the IEM market).

Good Grief... what the hell is all this about?

OK, so I am not one of what might be called the original crowd, as in the people who saw years and years of stuff happening at HF, with heaps of history including piles of shit. Perhaps the cat was once a monster? Seems unlikely to me, though. Seems unlikely that Kunlun would ever have done much of anything to merit such a projection of venom and bile (or benom and vile). And, let's see... how many people are supporting that vile, benomous position? What, no-one? No-one out of the crowd here that have been keystones of the scene over the years? Well, now, that's curious, isn't it?

So, in complete ignorance of any [other] facts, I have no hesitation in returning a verdict in favour of Kunlun. That means I have five questions for the sparrow. Oh, wait... three questions...

While we're on the topic of avatars (or profile images, as is really what we mean here), I want to suggest that we encourage those that prominently feature boobies. Let's face it, everyone likes boobies. I mean i would think that even women like to see nice boobies. i mean straight women too. admittedly maybe not quite to the same degree that straight males or otherwise sexually interested parties might. look, all i'm saying is that boobies are great. i support boobies. and therefore booby avatars. There's a guy like this on another forum I frequent. His posts are rambling and semi-incoherent. His points are shaky and when called on them moves the goalposts. He is convinced of his own superiority and frequently uses backhand insults towards others.

It's funny how those kind of members always know how to say just enough to get people riled up, but never quite enough to warrant a permanent banning. It's a special skill of being just enough of a dick, but not too much.
