    Ive never done an IEM loaner, I assume this is a bring your own tips sort of adventure? @Merrick could you advise on what you find to be the best tip options?

    TRI Clarion are my favorite universals for Astrolith, seems to give me the best balance of lows/mids/highs.

    Penon Audio E-Pro gives a little bass boost and a bit of a cut to the highs without being excessive or swamping the mids, so I recommend those if you're feeling like the highs are overwhelming or the bass is a little light.

    The Linsoul Tangzu Tang Sancai wide bore are a good alternative to the Clarions. Similar balance but slight differences that may be preferred by one person or another depending on ear interactions.

    I don't recommend foams. The CFA stock silicone tips are not my favorite with the Astros, but I still say give them a try because they might work better for you. Ken Ball uses foams on the Astros but to me it made the whole thing so bass tilted that everything else seemed muffled.

    I think Ken B. @ Campfire uses foamies on basically everything.

    Kind of like how I'm using the Divinus Velvet / Spiral Dots / Sedna Earfit on pretty much everything. The new'ish Pentaconn COREIR is another option that people are currently suggesting. (They have alloy in the nozzle)

    For me, it is personal preference. Comfort and seal are #1 *duh*, but the bore matters the most on tuning (not all earphones, but it is good practice to try.) material matters - the physics stuff for headphone nerds :cool:

    @julie - Thank you for taking on the pain of the loaners. (us and the headphone :eek::p)

    not that im not thrilled that its starting with me, but I would guess a better order would be something like

    Austin -> Arizona -> so cal -> Oregon -> Illinois -> PA -> VA -> GA -> FL ?

    just so its not going coast to coast so much? I also believe @Merrick owns a pair so wouldn't need a stop? I just tagged him for guidance on tips.

    or if its starting in Oregon at Campfire, maybe reverse and wrap that around so it goes down to la, then az then tx, etc...I dunno just thinking out loud here

    Edit: or if starting in Texas maybe go to Florida first and go the other way around to avoid fires? :(

    dang I really played myself with this one didn’t I lol
