    Hi Guys,

I am new to vinyl and got my first turntable recently, Clearaudio Concept with Maestro V2 cartridge. Since there were no dealers nearby, bought it online.

Set it up everything today and played my first vinyl, not getting any sound from the left channel. Checked the cart connections and they seem to be fine.

Any suggestions on what I can check.

    Thanks in advance.

Did you try checking if the tonearm wire is still connected between the cart and the RCA jacks? If that's fine, then you might have a bad cart.

Check connections. Reverse connections L + R. Through process of elimination, discover the culprit. I had a similar situation occur, but found out it was an input switch position on my amp. Turns out I drilled through a wire by accident when I was making holes to mount a new transformer.

Check the phono stage as well as well as connection in and out of it.

The RCA cables on this turntable are hard-wired.

The wire connecting the left channel to the RCA connector must have come loose again. I double checked it and retightened before I sent it to you, but the RCA connector must have gotten loose and broke the connection. Open it up and take a look at it to see.

Oh good! That is an easy fix. I saw that Eddie Current Transcription in the picture you posted and thought, what a killer "first" vinyl rig :)
That phono really responds to tube rolling...play with that down the line. Also responds handily to vibration control on the amp section AND the power supply section...I know because I was setting it up just 2 nights ago with 2 more tables I added to the main system! Two direct drive tables....Sony PS-X700 Biotracer and the Denon DP-59L.

Thanks. Any recommendations on what tubes work best with EC TA.

You should have a pretty good 6SN7 in there if I remember correctly. The one in there before was probably dying. Start with the 12_ tubes.
