DMS just called it "The New Standard"
Who is DMS and why should anyone on SBAF care?
A YouTube reviewer that I vaguely recall was in hot water over holding on to review samples for much longer than intended. Also thinks that the DT880 is basically a budget HD800— much as I like the Beyers I honestly went WTF there.
Also, Skrillex gone corporate
Doesn't he work at Abyss?
Like Josh Valour, one of the most popular and INFLUENTIAL headphone/gear vloggers on YT. He collaborates with Zeos (Pantera) in running the extremely popular https://hifiguides.com/ (Alexa rating is about 140k).
I friggin' luuuuv their vids!!
Back to the 560S, boyz and gurlz ... .welI I wuz thinkin' 'about gettin' either the new Sivga Phoenix or Fostex rp60.
But now that the 560s is out there .... puh-leeeeze help a noob decide.
Who opened the gates to hell....
Don't know who is Josh Valour, don't care, and do not understand how he is relevant to SBAF. People call me on my cell phone to ask about gear after they watch Zeos videos, which leave them more confused than ever.
That link you provided is not a proper guide. It's cheap device for DMS and Zeos to make money referring customers to Amazon. At least rtings provides consumers with better quality information while at that.
SBAF isn't about social media or YT popularity. It's about in-depth analysis, both subjective and objective.
If you are indecisive, I would recommend buying anything anyone recommends on YouTube so long as their channel has more than 3 views in total. There is no way you can go wrong if so.
Well, at least vloggers look you in the eye -- whether being honest or not.
And those very useful psychological cues are missing from blogs and absurd forum posts. Anyone can lie with TEXT, graphs and charts. Hell, the mainstream 'papers do it all-o-da time. And I think y'all've a thread on ASR doing much of that. I wuz just postin' on it.
But back to YouTube influencers .... well, y'all've seen their 'quipment. Zeos certainly has a lot. And video is proof that he actually has it. And he's got a rig set up fer compare/contrast. A/B switchers, etc. And these are done "live" on camera. And I don't think he's cynical or snobby.
And he's got GOBS of Pateron $$ to burn on 'quipment the manu's ain't sendin' in fer keeps.
Not sure what I'm gonna get ... Zeos is comin' out with the Philips X3 'view ... so that's goin' in the Wishlist along with 560s.
P.S. Don'ts y'all fergets 'bout Alexa, YT algos and SERP. Dats wha drives da car
I appreciate YouTubers for bringing things to my attention early, but I come here for proper discussion on them. Please, stop filling the thread with info and impressions we can all find elsewhere--and don't contribute to the actual discussion.
My apologies. I was only acting out because I am insecure about the size of my very tiny penis and that I have no friends with which to visit and share gear.
I think it's long past giving you benefit the doubt as to whether you're engaging candidly or just fucking with people, @oh_okay. Come on man, no one needs that.
Two more things:
The word "vlog" has always made me think of puke. Same with "phablet", though the latter's fallen out of fashion in recent years; I was always team "phoneblet" even if it's ass to type.
"Vloggers" are looking at cameras, not people. I don't know how much to read into your offhand statement about not having people in your life right now but it would behoove everyone not to fall too deeply into parasocial interactions. This is coming from a guy who spends waaaaaaaaaay too much time on YouTube nowadays
And why we are discussing "vlogers" here?
i found this website/dealer which is selling the HD560s with the price of £140.83 which is cheaper than the official website price of £169..trustable?
Audiosanctuary is a pretty established name in the UK hi-fi world. Definitely legitimate.
I didn't post the above. But, of course, it's funny AH!!
Thank YOU for replying!
The vloggers are entertaining AF. That said, I don't watch Zeos' unboxing channel or his food channel. But the main headphone (and related gear) channel is RIGHTFULLY as as popular and LIKED and SUBSCRIBED TO and FOLLOWED as it is.
Back to the 560s ... well, the new Philips 9600 is in the mix ... supposed to have a very diff. sound signature than the 9500.
(Looks around.) Did I get on the short bus by mistake?
Gotta be a troll or practical joke...no real harm, somewhat entertaining (cuz those influencers certainly are voices of credibility and authoritative experience due to their viewing metrics and ability to obtain anything/everything).
I appreciate YouTube reviews for many things, but not for headphones.
Do want to personally try these to compare to HD6x0.
Separate names with a comma.
