Post your headphone setup

I just kept finding the speaker thread when I searched

Deskside setup:






I have 2 PC's in here and swap which one connects to the ddc via which extender the ifi idefender + is plugged into

Bedside setup:



Not pictured here is another Chinese xmos ddc with fancy clocks, but I didn't take pics of where that is because I don't want to deal with spiders

I actually have 4 ifi ipower x's in the desk rig and 2 in the bedside one, but some aren't visible. I have to put tape over the LED's or else I can't sleep

 

How does the N64 sound on the tube amps?

 

It's nice on the shortest way, but I haven't actually tried it with the ECBA yet. Usually I play those games muted while at work (from home), but I have an HDMI adapter on the N64 and get digital audio from it to either of my DAC's through USB -> ddc -> dac via a capture card. Works fine with the Vega running in exact clock mode because modern xmos chips are really good.

Literally just because you remembered it was "photos" instead of "pictures". I searched both "pictures" and "your setup" and scrolled back months.

Two of these threads you guys think you're owning me with just demonstrate that the confusion is common, lest there wouldn't be two abandoned threads.

 

You guys are linking a thread with a completely obscure name and then another that was abandoned quickly and a long time ago because you only find it searching "photos". It's actually not reasonable to think I should have lurked every thread before posting some pics of my setup. I also have been around this community on and off for over a decade and was lurking even when not active -- I just didn't search "photos" nor know what "system synergy - special sounds" meant.

 

Because layers of dust, especially on cables, really enhance the sound. I'm surprised that nobody is selling a spray on. But then... doubters would post, "Hey, I got it analysed: lab says it's only dust!"

Sure, it's only dust. And it beats skin effect hands down!

I sympathise on that one. As I recall that thread, it is/was about very specific combinations of kit. Hence synergy. Photos would be incidental.
