Really anticipating Game of Thrones season 7. Hopefully we won't have another "Sean Bean always dies" disappointment.

Currently rooting for Jon Snow (Jaehaerys Targaryen?) and Daenerys Targaryen (including current staff).

(Spoilers are totally acceptable, so beware)

Think so. It's hard to predict what's going to happen. I mean Dany probably has a stronger claim to the Iron Throne because she is "legitimate". And so is the case for Sansa in the North. But who knows how things are going to spin.

It's interesting that Jon got named King of the North, and he like seriously doesn't want anything to do with it.

On the other hand there is this Fire & Ice deal where you have Targarean (Fire) + Stark (Ice) stuff going on. And then all the prophesies and shit.

Then you have Cersei and Lord Baelish, both who have it coming for sometime now.

Waiting Baelish to suffer a horrible death, but not before he pulls of some ruckuses.

It's possible Jon Snow is a legitimate son, if Rhaegar and Lyssa had a secret wedding. Targaryen kings were known to have multiple wives. Then again, he might just be a Targaryen bastard... so fucking stoked!

Baelish sounds a lot like Bael. A demon. Totally owns the name. The definition of a ruthless and selfish snake. Amazing how he manipulated all things from the beginning. A very credible, well developed, and played SOB.

Yes, Littlefinger is one of the best characters in the show/books. Utterly despicable and incredibly brilliant all at once. Arguably the single most consequential character.

Can't wait for the dragons. What's cool is when I get lost, my wife tells me what's going on. True for other things besides Thrones. She even has a post-it on the fridge so she doesn't miss the premiere.

Team Daenerys all the way. I honestly wished they had kept Jon Snow dead. Also I'm curious to find out how the time travel-ish plotline plays into everything.

I like Jon Snow. Of all the characters, I think he is the least ambitious though. The opposite could be said about Sittingfinger.

I finally got around to watching Game of Thrones a couple months ago. Binged all 6 seasons in 3 weeks it was so good.

I'm ready to see the dragons fuck some shit up. Hopefully burn Cersei alive. I literally lol'd when Tomas jumped out the window.

Tomas was too tender heartened and manipulable. The opposite of Jeoffrey who was a psychopath. Both were weak. Cercei is not weak. But like Tywin Lannister said, she thinks she is far smarter and capable than she actually is. She is a controlling sociopath. But she can't touch the likes of someone like Baelish. And she is not charismatic, which cannot end well one way or any other way.

The destinies of Jaime and Tyrion are a bit more foggy.

I maybe wrong about Jaimie, but the day Tywin got it into him to blame Tyrion for the loss of his wife and decided that he was not worthy of being his son, the day he doomed his house.

Just checked. HBO is going to show all six seasons, all 60 episodes, starting on 7/1 to 7/3. Now what to delete from the DVR?

I wonder what or who will be on the dinner menu this season?

I'm excited, as always, but am worried that this season will be action, action, action.

My favorite episodes tend to be the slow, moody, atmospheric ones. Battles and dragon flames get old, fast.

I like to save them up and watch at my own pace rather than suffering through waiting for the next episode each week. Guess I can keep reading this thread until the 16th.
I did that for the first 3 seasons. You must have had an epic 3 weeks!

Sometimes I get the feeling that GoT was originally a space opera, with inter-dimensional monsters that would phase in and out of existence, over-sized space narwhals that would shoot slicer beams, naked space princesses, far out inhospitable colony worlds, space raiders, space banking guilds, ancient ones who built an array of force field linked space stations on the outer rim of the galaxy, and weapons made from special dense matter from collapsed suns, etc.

And don't forget full frontal nudity, and not just space princesses but pretty much everybody. Not that I am complaining. And of course gratuitous sex scenes that really have nothing to due with the plot. And a horny space prince who also happens to be an asshole little person. Again not that I'm complaining. :D

I got nothing done during that time. Worth it.
