Don't know if I'm being petty, but signatures or initials at the end of posts are annoyingly pretentious.

Keith Scott from the Bryan Adams band is a seriously underrated guitarist. I love his playing and tone.

So is Mickey Curry, his drummer (I think hes still playing with Bryan?) Very solid, no nonsense drumming.

Some folks are truly unable to read the vibe of a room, and funny enough those seem to be the same people that can't take any criticism or taunting of any kind.

Test-drove the new Acura RDX and was surprised with the sound system. It has good-quality tweeters, mid drivers and a decent sub.

True. It may not be the point of the music, but a halford Dio or Osbourne is always going to elevate the song instead of sounding anonymous.

Yeah but they have unique voices. So does the Dismember guy. “Ieeem fierced tooo murder and storm here BY THE VISIONS INSIDE MY HEAD!” Ozzy can’t sing either but the vocals in metal pretty much got universalized in the mid to late 90s to be Cookie Monster, bathroom Satan voices, and lame bar rock singing. Nobody that can compete with Ian Gillian or Tom Angelripper types.

It's a pretty hard way to learn the lesson: go easy with that torque!

Unless the jeweller you go to is a watchmaker too, I do advise the watch-repairer route. Speaking as a one-time hobbiest jeweller, with a fairly well-equipped workbench, I don't think I could have handled that. Jewellers make/repair stuff that has to fit, look good, etc... but there is not much involving mechanics.

Brilliant. people are usually very gentle with record-playing equipment. Surprising that screw would sheer. They may be small, but so is the amount of force that can be applied to a tiny screwdriver. Screws/bolts I have sheered: much larger, but with the help of foot pounds applied on the other end of a wrench.

A mix of the right price with an MC cartridge, and I like the aesthetics. It was well reviewed, and I like pro-ject in general. I was looking at the VPI Prime Scout, but with the cart and Step up Transformer, it was pushing around 3000

@brencho, I concur, even though I don't have many 45s. Coming from a Debut Carbon, I really just want a quiet, non resonant TT. I can also probably stretch to a new Prime Scout, but I hate the idea of an epoxy arm on an expensive turntable.

anyone have a link to an overview of all the arms VPI has offered over time? I saw a scout a few days ago for sale but wasnt sure of exactly what I should look for apart from no 3D printing/epoxy
