Just want to toss in a cheers for this post:

"innocent until proven guilty" is a criminal (versus civil) high bar because it means the government can remove freedom(s) from a citizen, which is the worst thing a government can do to a citizen in a free society. In civil cases the notion of "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't really exist, rather standards such as "clear and convincing evidence".

That said, IP / patent infringement can be criminal but is mostly all civil in US with the injured party suing for damages (e.g., losses due to theft of trade secrets).

@slankoe, you stand accused of being a dumb asshole who doesn't understand anything about the law.

    How do you plead on:
    The Kunlun Court
    [IMG]

Yes, you're already guilty. The writers for Star Trek DS9 actually modeled the Cardassian justice system on Kunlun Court. It's something we here at TKC are proud of.

Anyway, let's get on to the public execution phase.

Don't be mad, I've been waiting to use this pic for a while now.

Seriously, though, asking for a tear down of a prototype LH has essentially stolen before you'll find any accusation against human yeast infections like Jarek to be fair is contrary to reason.

The LH iem seems to bare a huge number of similarities to the CA prototype in driver types, housing, cable, and that proprietary sound chamber. Hilariously, and as a sign of the total incompetence of LH, it also seems to include the f'ing packaging, with font and campfire night sky.

In short, to those asking for fairness under conditions which will never actually happen, f**k you*, that's not fairness.

*To @lm4der: It's more of a fudge you.

I won't be objective until they actually finish what they owe to their customers.

Hi everyone, Light Harmonic wanted to clarify some things:

    (1) We never opened Dorado and never have one on hand. Even Ken Ball told while we cooperated that he wanted to do a better upgrade for Dorado. We also never opened Asteria.

    (2) Every mold and metal shield on the cabling are all proprietary. We invested a lot of time and money/tooling into this cable/shielding. Our cabling is very different than what CA offers. We are planning to have more details available on the cabling soon.

    (3) The only prototype LHL received was the Asteria. This is on the only IEM we ever received from CA, and the Asteria is the IEM that Ken posted about originally in this thread, and the one he posted about later regarding his assumption that LHL stole the design of the Asteria. There is no other IEM to discuss.

    (4) If Mr. Ball has any proof that Campfire ever used this kind of hexagon design before us, please display that proof. We do not believe CA used this design, overall internally or externally.

Unfortunately at this point the public opinion of LH is pretty much irredeemable. And Larry arguing through you is pathetic.

But, but... This is a Light Harmonic product. It has nothing to do with the clusterfuck that is LH Labs.

The thing that I don't get is this:
Why they always tell about "hexagon" form? I thought the thing with TAEC was its material, volume of this chamber and maybe some other stuff, but the form of this chamber is not that important. I need clarification on this.
So if you just took TAEC and make it in hexagon shape, than it is still TAEC.

They keep bringing up the hexagon because they seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to take someone’s design, make a few tweaks to it, and call it “proprietary.” If they can draw attention to the hexagon, they can draw attention away from the fact that the acoustic chamber is likely serving the same function as in CA’s design.

@LHCommSquad seems to be phrasing their rebuttals like we think Larry has been sneaking into CA’s warehouse and stealing parts. I don’t doubt they sourced their own tooling, but if they claim that their “cabling is very different from what CA offers,” why does it look so similar?

Meh, I’m over it at this stage. I’ll wait to get annoyed with this situation again when it gets released (which I doubt it will). I hope it gives them enough cash flow to deliver the other products that people have lost patience on.

The posts here from LH's rep squad are embarrassing at best, unprofessional at worst. Didn't think it would be possible to do more harm to this community's perception of LH than total silence.

Amazing how you guys have the money to come post to defend yourselves on niche forums but not deliver promised products.

A smelly egg is still an egg. Yes, I am talking about the hexagon chamber.

Trying not to take sides. But can LH provide the Asteria back to a neutral party for analysis (to see if it had been taken apart) and then back to Ken?

This should put an end to any suspicions.

Where is the prototype now? Doesn't where it lives now provide some clue at all?

The prototype has been incorporated into the Allspark, which will remotely provide life to and power all Stella IEMs.

I think it is worth pointing out that LH's previous IEM, The Verb, was not only terrible, it was a total lie. LH claimed in all the marketing that it was an original design, the result of years of work, etc. Sound familiar? It turned out to be a rebadge, without question. LH was 100% lying.

Yeah, long before I was bothering to post on audio sites- but I do remember the shitstorm. That page is the best summary of the Verb fiasco that I could find. It's pithy, I like.

I did find a Changstar thread about it- but it soon broke down into a discussion of whether Changstar were Massdrop, err I mean LH Labs shills, how LH labs are great guys f you meet them etc.. Nothing new under the sun.

    Edit:

    Screw it, here we go:

    http://www.changstar.com/www.changstar.com/index.php/topic,2643.0.html

    Edit2:

Looks like LH Labs managed to break their online store, while we're at it:

    Code:
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://marketplace-lhlabs.com/lh-labs-vibrato/

    The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for marketplace-lhlabs.com
    The dnsserver returned:

    No DNS records

..at least from here. Maybe it's an attempt to protect the world a little..
