    Really blown away that this could be a reality so quickly, thought it would just end up being a few of us pestering @schiit for a “maybe, possibly, some months from now, let’s see” kind of situation. I know I can speak for everyone interested when I say that we appreciate it! Truly the kind of thing that keeps this hobby fun.

    FWIW I’m kind of an island on SBAF, at least, in being so bothered by the greyground. Others usually could find ways to at least look past it. If you want to get in on the old AD sound, like Jason said, don’t wait. You can always sell the boards, they don’t come up often and there should be demand (despite not liking A2 much, I sometimes kick myself for selling mine).

    Very interested in how the MIB would compare to the OG, since changing a bunch of stuff around i could do with a bit more relaxed treble and less of a midbass bump which the OG gives to my ears.

    Perhaps a spider chart is in order to to give people a frame of reference?

    If @purr1n graces us with a spider chart, it would be great to include A1/GS in the comparison. I’m glad to see that A1/GS has received renewed attention lately. Many of us, including myself, are still using it and appreciate it for its cooler sound signature. I’m genuinely intrigued by MIL-B and what it might bring to the table.

    FWIW, when I had the DNA Starlett I was initially using it with a NAD C510 DAC (which is a NAD M51 with preamp function) and I felt its neutrality was a better match for the Starlett than the Bifrost 2, like far better, near perfect synergy. I always lamented that Schiit did not have a non lush sounding DAC like the NAD, so DNA owners may want to sit up and pay attention here. A best of both worlds neutral Schiit that combines Moffat technicalities with more neutrality offers so many better options for people with warm/organic/lush upstream components.

    Will do. I got the A2/OG parked at another place in town. May need to wait a bit. I got a some weird new COVID strain. Feel like I’ve been hit with a truck. Explains my productivity on SBAF too (stuck in bed).

    @schiit I may have missed it, but any idea what this MIB board might cost? I just got a Yggdrasil A2 and also have the LIM board, but I think I'd prefer to have this MIB board as an alternative.

    It’s OK. I’m confined to bed with a phone and iPad. SBAF has been effortless for me since @zerodeefex has had his itchy ban finger while @shotgunshane keeps me away from drama.

    The core member group is 1/5 the size that it was, but new people hitting it has been insane. 2500+ concurrent people yesterday. I like the group we have now. Very steady and mature but also 7 year olds at heart.

    @purr1n, I think I asked you when MIL came out if you thought it sounded like Chord, and I think you replied something to the effect of it's the most Chord-like DAC Schiit has made. So is MIL-B more Chord-y or less Chord-y than vanilla MIL?

    I’m an OG A2 lover. It is very hard for me to imagine Pirate Edition topping that, but I trust @purr1n ’s left ear.

    If you like what you have and it works for you, stick with it. The OG/A2 still does some things better. Ultimately the difference here is flavor. I'll take a shot at OG/A2 comparisons. I do have my Gungnir A2, and I know the delta between the OG/A2 the Gungnir exactly. (I don't have to make my trip across town - or I can do that to confirm later).

    MIL-F, I guess that works.
