No offense, but avoiding this head-fi mentality of filing a hurt feelings report every time someone disagrees with you is exactly why I joined this forum... not the other way around.

The reason we have dislikes for randos is that it helps them to see what how we roll on this site.

Zed learned that crying and pretending that he's standing up for "decency" by protecting the feelings of someone who is a total douche and isn't even reading this site isn't going to get the mods to run in to change his diapers. I told him if he wanted to lift the tone, then start talking about audio. He wanted to cry instead.

The way to handle things is to either articulate your point in a convincing way or change the subject to a more fruitful one.

 

I joined this forum because of the lack of hype. Not for this @k4rstar.

It seems like you're trying to control other people by claiming a completely fake moral high-ground. Your comment about only the best people being allow to dislike anything seemed to imply that you consider yourself the best. But I don't think that this is the website for you to be the self-appointed best person politeness police.

 

That was not it. I got pissed off when "common decency" and quoting you got me a dislike.

Hey man. Dislikes, in my eyes, are as meaningless as likes on this site, reddit, McDonalds, WoW, or anywhere else on the internet. I understand your neurosis to an extent, wondering about what people think of me--about "face." But do you really think "likes" have much value either? Not to anyone with a bare minimum of intelligence, wit, wisdom.

Just close down this site for a few days and realize how meaningless this shit, this worry about dislikes, really is.

 

Please leave the thread open so we can re-rail it into a discussion about this instead...
