Yeah, I have Focus SE. Legacy doesn't take long since they manufacture them in-house and are pretty efficient. I'd say 3-4 weeks lead time on their stuff at worst, if you need a custom finish.

I am running a Allo USBridge with SOLA SLS-05-030-1T LPS powering and stock switcher powering the Sparky. All together under $180 and I bet gets pretty damn close to ultraRendu especially as a Roon endpoint.

The Allo USBridge is a tempting option but I'm worried there'll be a bunch of problems to troubleshoot. I want as seamless and hassle-free of an experience as possible. Thanks for the offer but I actually just moved to Las Vegas a few weeks ago haha!

Since the SE5U was so good, I'm tempted to just order it blind haha.

The 6moons review of the Kii Three says that your power cable options are limiting because there isn't room for for oversized IEC modules. A large gauge computer power cable is your main option.

Regarding the Kii Three’s small IEC module, I plan on using Furutech’s slim body FI-C15 NCF connector.

Ching Cheng is apparently well received and comes stock with Pass Labs.

It depends on listening levels and usage patterns, but I'd still suspect you'd end up using your speakers more.

There is no headphone that substitute a good speaker experience. I suffered so much to realize that... oh good lord

I've always thought that they were different tools for different modes of enjoyment. That being said, even though I've never heard the Kii, I kinda doubt you'll be disappointed.

I'm having trouble deciding whether to go with the Kii Control, or something along the lines of the Auralic Aries / Mutec / Singxer to hook my laptop up to them.

You actually bought them? I warned you. Definitely interested to hear your thoughts. In-ears are very different compared to these, with different strengths and weaknesses.

I know I know, buying them blind is crazy haha. The simplicity and alleged ability of the Kii's to adapt to different rooms and sound consistent was just too tempting. I'm still in college and both my apartment in Blacksburg and my parent's home are definitely not good environments for finicky speakers.

Price includes DAC and 6 channels of amplification per speaker. A fully active DSP system is probably outside what you are looking for, but then again it might be.

Ooh la la! I was originally only interested in passive speakers, but the Kii Three definitely has my interest now. I listen to a LOT of electronic, so the fact they go down to 25hz is extremely alluring haha. Thanks for the heads up, now to see if I can find a used pair!

Where my 2x15" woofers have about 0.2% distortion (87db at 36Hz), these tiny drivers have more like 20% distortion.

Very beamy the last time I heard a Raidho X1. Sweet spot of maybe inches? Missing that bit of magic for me personally - heard it driven by a TOTL Devialet.

You mean for something else? I agree. For less money you can get a "phablet", engineer the O.S., software and hardware settings to suit your needs and you are done. Go android and some Java skills get you far...
