just reading about all the complaints of Apple Music "features" tells me how messed up users are. I'm glad I use other/better methods to discover and use a player app/prog to just play. Apple music failed the sound test last time I compared. Prob better on apple hardware, though.
Apple wants to have their cake and eat it too. They want you to sign up for the service, but don't want to integrate that service with any other app. You just have to rely on AirPlay to stream off your device, any other considerations be damned.
@Merrick the only problem with that theory is that no one profits from music streaming, even Spotify. Pandora has never made a profit. So they only "want" you to sign up for Apple Music in so much as it leads to sales of other apple products and locks you ito the apple universe.
That's why the future of streaming is looking pretty shitty. It will only be Apple, Google and Amazon (the 3 worst services) - the ones who can leverage the membership towards other sales.
While he makes good points, Apple Music is still a better user experience than Roon. Roon can't even reliably handle the metadata from Bandcamp albums.
@rhythmdevils You're right, Apple and Amazon and Google are using these services as lead ins to their walled gardens. So of course Apple doesn't want you integrating with apps outside of their own ecosystem. Also, Roon's auto metadata loading is riddled with errors. Not a fan.
