I do a lot of cad mech design. I couldn't imagine it without a MMO mouse. Love the G602 for it. At home G900 for just desktop use. The regular wireless mice suck ass, gamer sensor should be the standard.
200% agree, I bought the "Essential" version of the Deathadder, with those tacky green lights, it looks like I stole it from a 15 year old, but man does it feel good haha
I have recently swapped over to the G403. Not too many buttons, but excellent for graphic design. Also swapped the office keyboard to mechanical one. Should have done this years ago. DeathAdder was slightly to big for me.
Much as I'm disinclined towards "gaming rig" aesthetic, I have to admit a lot of the ones I've tried are really comfortable. Rocking a ReDragon Centrophorus I got as a gift, love the adjustable weight, but the G602 looks frigging great!
I went to a physical store to try some models yesterday, the most comfortable for me were the Zowie EC-1B (beautiful and 80€, ouch!) and the Deathadder, which I bought at 38€ because it was the demo unit they had. I thought "I'll cover the lights with my hand, so who cares", and sealed the deal lol
Yeah, it feels like money well spent, the only thing that drove me nuts is the tacky Synapse 3 software, which took me 3 installation attempts to recognize the mouse and change the DPI, after that everything went smooth, should have done this long time ago.
For all their overdone lighting and tacky software, I really do like Razer mice and have been using them for years. I kinda wish their logo didn't look like a tattoo a stereotypical frat bro would get, but if the hardware's good I can't complain too much.
I went through enough Razor mice to never ever want to touch the brand again. Granted they were mmo mice and they saw a fair bit of use but still. Right now i'm using a G600 and it has lasted as long as 3 razor mice already.
Cheap-ass Logitech mice only last me six months before they start miss-clicking. I learnt how to service the switches, but it is a pain.
I am not a gamer, but the buttons on my Kone mouse do most of the keyboad stuff for surfing, so I only need two hands and a keyboard for typing. And it goes longer between services, even though the switches seem to much the same as el-cheapo-mouse innards.
