Difficult to impossible unless you've got something very unique. Going to be really tough to build an organic following, get into a decent ad network, all while cutting through a sea of other blogs like this. "Blogging" is dying and so is the ad model that complements it. Best shot? Youtuber, maybe.
I know YouTubers and streamers who took a few years before they started making any semblance of 'real' income from it. $1,000 per month in 2 years on YouTube is doable, but you'd have to hustle very very hard for that.
Think "one 10+ minute long video 4-5 days a week every week without fail for a year" before you even start getting a real audience. Even assuming you can film everything on a first take and only take 20 minutes editing, that's a couple of hours every week gone towards it.
So do you mean both personal finance.. and tech reviews? In the same blog? Because finance and tech seem mutually exclusive...Unless of course, you mean a "How go to broke buying crap you don't need" blog.
near impossible, as you have to stand out from every cookie cutter o the day -- and had to check if you were a bot/troll ;) -- you mentioned 1K, wth. -- snark aside, just do it and grow naturally
