LOL go easy tommy. People don't know my obsession with SILVER yet ;) What cables @nishan99? I'm a big fan of power cables making the most difference, but I'm pretty sure that's unpopular opinion here on sbaf lol. :P
It's actually cheaper and I bought it because I liked how the 8 threaded cables look and feel with my IEMs so I wanted one for my headphones. I didn't expected neither wanted a sonic differences...
The difference was immediate at first listen but I thought maybe it's just a placebo and continued using it for days until I got curious and pulled the ZMF OFC cable and did some ab testing with my Verite, and indeed my first impressions stand true...
The OFC cable is noticeably warmer and thicker with a veil on everything yet sounding harsher! (It's weird I know). Needless to say I much prefer this Chinese cable. I am very impressed!.
I've found interconnects and headphone/speaker cables to make an audible difference (some enough that I'm confident in passing a blind test). I first experienced this with Verite as well ironically; got a Lektrik prototype from Zach and was stunned at the difference.
Prior to this, I thought cables didn't matter, or at least made such a small difference that I didn't care. No, the differences still aren't what I'd call huge, but it exists and it's audible. When I heard this I immediately messaged Marv because I thought I went insane. Turns out I'm still not quite insane yet.
Problem is that you don't really know what your cable is made out of, so really hard for you to triangulate. Real stranded silver is expensive, OCC, even more so. Luna and most other Ali sellers are not selling real OCC, especially silver at those prices. If you like the cable, then great!
What cable? No, I don't believe analogue interconnects make a difference but I'm more open minded about headphone wire.
I once thought I heard a power cable make a difference. Had to get a couple of thugs to bounce me round the room until I confessed to having imagined it. It's the only way with audiophoolery: get it knocked out of you!
@nishan99 yeah, that's the right way to go with cables IMHO. Just buy them for ergonomic/aesthetic purposes and consider any sonic improvements a bonus if they exist. It's the reason why my two channel setup and headphone rig still use cheap interconnects.
On the flipside there could be sonic *down*grades with cables. During a store demo of all things someone let me use this cable he'd made with the Klipsches and it just sounded like a bloated mess. Jarring when I was expecting the exact opposite.
