Im getting excited, hoping mine will be included in the next batch that get's shipped. Have a feeling this amp will scratch the itch and keep me from spending on a big boy tube amp for awhile longer.
I am in the same boat as @e.schell, really hoping I am in the next batch (although I was late to this run, so still could be a while for me). Almost bought a Pendant the other day, but had to remind myself I need some quality time with this first...
Mine shipped last week and I was told to expect shipping to the US to take upwards of 2 months. I'm already finding this wait tougher than it was to wait on production.
The cliche been said a million times, but.. it's worth the wait. I like it more with high z cans (ZMF/Senns) thatn moderate/low z stuff (Focals). SW51+ completely ameliorates Focal's 'metallic' timbre (but does introduce some sins of commission).
@FlySweep Could you elaborate more on the sins of commission? I'm planning to get a Clear to pair with SW51+ myself. Would love to hear your impressions with the pairing!
Ouch! Even with EMS. Well at least that's an option. I can't even send stuff by EMS from Taiwan to Canada and have to use a courier service. Anyway, hopefully it won't take that long for your and Insidious' units too arrive. And ... it'll be worth the wait ;-)
@gixxerwimp Looks like he was overly pessimistic in his 50 day shipping estimate - my SW51+ just cleared customs in Chicago and it will probably get delivered Sat or Mon.
@dasman66 Not to freak you out, but my last international package that was transferred to USPS looked like it cleared Chicago customs, and then had a delivery date set for later that week...and then it disappeared in the system with no updates for 1.5 months. Just fair warning about how much of a mess customs is right now.
