This shit happens all the time. I'm happy people are recording everything now. You can't accuse someone of stealing your shit just because you're racist and assume all black people are thieves. The fact that the manager was so quick to enable her only makes this shit worse and has deep implications for our society.

I get prejudice. It's not hard not to be. But physically going after the kid? That's messed up. The dad is a better man than I. I would have punched her in the face for threatening my child.

All it would have taken is for someone to call the phone number of the purportedly stolen phone. If it rang, it was stolen. If not, the claim was bogus. Additionally Dad could have called son's phone to verify ownership. The whole altercation is a disgusting reflection on our current societal bullshit. Beating on a 14 yo by an adult is inexcusable.
