You're looking in the wrong place, most technical discussions on diyaudio are on point and focuses on the tube parameters in a circuit rather than rolling the same one endlessly. The tube hyper type on headfi and most forums are retarded.

yes, a bad tube does make a difference, but at least in my Kenzie Ovation, short of mu, other signal chain parameter matter far more.
