How are you playing it? It’s not bit perfect in every circumstance.
Through itunes, with windows, with nothing playing. But regardless it sounds very different from offline. It has this compression, that makes things sound tight, along with some crystal clear audio processing. Sounds mechanical and compressed, regardless of on the iphone or computer.
iTunes on windows will go through all the normal windows mixer and processing stuff on top of whatever it is doing internally already, and will only play AAC files for Apple Music, no lossless. Would be worthwhile to check what windows is set to for bitrate and sample depth, and also what iTunes is set to.
Major props to her for going outside her comfort zone. Even with the tracks I don't like, I have to give her respect.
I can't agree with that. She just sounds like a mix of D'angelo, Whitney Houston, and talking singing like Florence + the Machine. She literally sings like 10 pitches per song, while just talking. There is no development, and literally stays the same from beginning to end. If you take the lyrics out, literally trash tier music for me. Reminds me of Norah Jones when she sang Tragedy.
That's exactly the point: her choices here are weird AF, bro, especially given her past output. I can appreciate how she pushed herself somewhere different. It's amazing how difficult it is for humans to choose change and I applaud it, even if the results aren't my cup of tea.
Just finished Adele-30. My disdain for the album started with the shards of glass flying off the massed strings in the 1st track, the annoying gimmicks and then the harsh squawking background vocals. At least the 2nd half was a bit easier to take, but not enough for a repeat play.
