I'm 162cm so most desks are horrible for ergonomics. Ended up having a custom, very barebones low desk that's perfect for me made by a friend's dad at a decent price some time ago and it's one of the better investments I've made in years it feels like. Literally a chunky slab of nice wood on sturdy legs.
@Lyander - I’ve been reading how awful chair sitting is and I’m going for a floor desk. I’ve been studying writing desks of Chinese bureaucrats from the 1600s to see what height I should go for
A floor desk! That seems like loads of fun. Never tried one but I imagine that the relative distances of things wouldn't be too far removed from what's currently recommended other than leg height being much shorter. My desk has it so that my forearms are parallel when shoulders are fully relaxed. Other than needing a bit of an angle, this is similar to what'd be ideal for western pointed pen calligraphy
I'm a pretty median-proportioned 6' tall dude and my sit-stand desk still doesn't go low enough for an ergonimic keyboard placement (29.75" off the floor). I'm looking into under-desk keyboard trays like it's 1992 in the DMV office.
I think I found my floor desk. The IKEA Lack coffee table. The top can have my monitor and the lower storage area is the right height for my keyboard and mouse
