Between all the oversampling and a lot of the cards not actually being better than the previous generation, though, Nvidia's product strategy is starting to feel very audio-like.
I ended up getting a 4060 (from a 1660 Super), mostly for HDMI 2.1 stuff and city/war sims. From a retro perspective and occasional JRPG perspective, I have no use of the added GPU power. The PS5 (and now the 4060) is fine. Also, the PS5 Pro is the HD700 of consoles. What a waste.
I have a 4090 in a gaming rig but I actually prefer to use GeForce Now and stream games to the TV rather than fire that thing up. Still need the biggie rig for games that GFN doesn't support, but not that much of an issue for me these days. The gaming experience is the same between the two, GFN is amazing.
