Verve's BSS - I think had read that it was the first continuous-shoot video (walking NYC), shame about how the royalty deal was set up. Great song. Hate to use the term "ADD", but it's too easy to click through songs to not do so, especially when you don't know the listening mood you're in.
For me, listening to LPs (and to an extent CDs) requires me to put some thought into what I feel like listening to. Listening to Digital files is different. Sometimes I give it thought. Other times I pick something kind of randomly and see if it is a good match for my mood. I might not finish the song because it isn't working out. If that happens a couple of times, I give it some thought before continuing.
Didn't know this was the first continuous-shoot video! Makes me love the MV even more, haha. Also, learned something new today (on top of what passed in one ear and out the other in class today, that is). Thanks, @rott !
And I can relate, @Dino . I don't use analogue (space and cost concerns), so my setup lends itself to skipping tracks. It's not so bad, really, getting to sample different music in a single sitting, and it makes those rare moments when I really kick back and go through a full album that much more special. Also, I listen to a lot of modern tracks, not a lot of which were designed for single-run listening, I think :P
LOL, I forgot that the Verve weren't American. Hmm, not too familiar with Massive Attack to be honest. Maybe I should rectify that when I'm looking for new music.
