    All Schiit stuff have bad crosstalk, I mean bad, the only other brand which has this bad crosstalk is SPL. And even SPL has slightly better crosstalk than Schiit. And we know SPL sounds not so good. This should be taken care of immediately, right now. Croostalk is a big bright mirror which reflects the capacity of drawing PCB. Just hire a expert (just hire a experienced guy) to draw the board. Schiit needs to get over this little barrier. Marketing and self-mocking won't guarantee your future. Competitors are just numberless, the world's really big.

    unrelatedly BTW, Lynx AES16 as the interface is a good choice.

    Can I also say that of all the measured specs, crosstalk really is one of the least important? If it's -80dB+ I seriously doubt it is at all audible. Vinyl has crosstalk at comically high levels if I remember correctly. Of course I want the best specs in my gear when possible. When you chain a bunch of components together (like DAC/phono into pre into amp) then bad crosstalk figures can accumulate and possibly become audible. But c'mon.

    A few comments:

    1. Crosstalk measurements depend on load and frequency. You need both to do an actual comparison that is not 100% marketing regurgitation.
    2. It is very, very easy to get -100dB+ crosstalk measurements at 1kHz and no load.
    3. To make numbers look better, often crosstalk is spec'd at 1k, or cuts off at 10k (10-20k is hardest to make numbers on.)
    4. We are extremely conservative in how we spec everything. Including crosstalk.
    5. Crosstalk is about the least meaningful measurement, ever. Else why does good phono out-image digital with crosstalk of -25dB or so?

    It will be easier for you to get your point across with some evidence. Their quoted numbers don't look too impressive, compared say to RME, but I'm not sure if -80dB is audible. Also crosstalk numbers should be easy to cook if you don't show bandwidth and/or load.

    @mtoc is basically a shit stirrer. I've seldom seen him present evidence or backup whatever fancies his mind, which may eventually become a thread.

    I get the feeling that the more replies there are to his sometimes ill founded and poorly researched claims, the better and more enabled he/she may feel.

    I've seen this over and over with @mtoc , and in some cases I think I've wasted my time with this because it's apparent to me that he/she doesn't care about getting down to the bottom of things. He/She just puts things out there and may not give two shits about the outcome. Just the size of the thread he/she started.

    I could just as easily say right out of my ass, "Oh f**k! some Sansa Clips will explode if you hook up a load below 5 ohms!", or "Look! HD800s drivers will fall off if you pass a sufficiently high power magnet close to it!", also right out of my ass.

    Its up to @Marvey to ban @mtoc and lock this thread, but if it was up to me I would just proceed.

    Spreading unfounded rumors and gossip, w/o any foundation, IMO erodes SNR and makes folks waste their time.

    To be honest, what Schiit needs to improve on is to get good, honest and knowledgable YouTubers like Linus Tech Tips, New Record Day, lanchan likes a thing and thehbproject to feature/review the Afforable multibit dacs, Jothenium and even the Yggdrasil dac for a finale. That should really give a boost to sales and brand awareness.

    Yeah. I also at first kind of went like "Meh". But I started to remember that in many cases the dude starts a thread and never comes back to it while folks are getting all worked up. On the other hand, it is true that shit stirring is sometimes a good thing to get folks to think about stuff. So it was a bit up in the balance. But this thread was really out there and dude starts it and walks out, see what happens. It kind of annoyed me. But then again, I may have man-PMS and wanted to make sure I was not having the flashes again.

    I been having man-PMS. So wasn't sure if it was just me.
