Girls in Action Movies / Bad SW Spaceships

I actually agree that Disney is basically butchering the SW franchise, but it's entirely expected. Also, strong female characters in action films? Look elsewhere... this genre intentionally appeals to people who don't want to see a strong female lead. Hollywood caters to the lowest common denominator, and there are plenty of people who fit this bill in North America.

I wasn't around in the old days of CS, but this is probably the fifth time I've seen you come into a thread, throw the word "faggot" around and do this tired "unpolitically correct" thing. It's also not the first time that I've heard @MuppetFace try to make the case for a more inclusive atmosphere, which at the very least should include not using homophobic slurs as a community corrective. It's also not the first time I've seen @Marvey publicly reassure everyone that you are really a great guy in spite of it all.

There is a line between being irreverent and being an asshole. The Friends that know you well seem to know you're just stirring things up. In case you didn't know, to a relative newcomer like me, you appear to be consistently over that line, and don't give me much of a reason to want to get to know you better.

That wasn't even meant as an insult or anything. Most of these SW novels are full of them. I actually really enjoy reading these cheesy, poorly written SW expanded universe stuff, if only for extra lore insight.

Something seems to have been lost in translation. IIRC, when we originally had problems with Nathan acting up I decided to be the one to approach him in good faith. I don't remember what exactly we talked about. I think that Skype conversation was filled mostly with meaningless platitudes and we decided to "agree to disagree" (which may be the biggest BS statement ever uttered by moral cowards), which ultimately resulted in him requesting a (temp?) ban. That ban was overriden when he requested to be added back into the fold, but the rest is history. Point being, I approached him in good faith, but he quickly squandered that faith with continued pity posting that just wasn't serving the purposes of any parties involved.

But really, you guys should be more focused on Marv. He's the real bad one here. I remember one of the old pirates used to call him "further to the right than Genghis Khan". I have no doubt if Marv lived a millennium ago, he would be putting villages to the sword and twirling his evil mustache. He just blends in with California Marxists better than I do because he went to UCSC (pothead paradise) and works in Hollywood (center of cultural enrichment). But really, he's the evil conservative here, so hate him not me.
