The traveling back and forts didn't bother me that much. I mean, it did. But not that much.

But as far as that javelin throw I was like "f**k this shit, it's all over".

When the dragons came, I was thinking the Nite Pimp would go like, "Oh shit! They got dragons! Regroup bitches, Regroup!". If a dragon was lost I was thinking a bunch of Slow Walkers brought down their elite bitches as in zombie Wank Wanks, Polar Bears, Mastodons, T-Rexes, or maybe even a reanimated Kraken (drowned god material) coming from below by surprise as they were loading some folks out of the war zone. But WTF, dragon is brough down by a feeble Nite Pimp throwing some snow balls. Seriously!!!? And he wasn't even trying.

I kind of feared the writer(s) would do that. There is still great material there, but Nite Pimp snow balling down Viserion was a WTF moment for me. I mean, really, this shit is over. I actually don't know what the Nite Pimp is waiting for. He could just pee on the wall after a bunch of beers and bring it down.

Westeros is a continent. I think it spans thousands of miles north to south.

I've never been more down on the show than I am right now. I hope they bring it back around, but I'm not optimistic. They're lost without Martin's source material. They know the endgame, but they aren't creative enough to get it there in a satisfying way.

As an avid book reader, I've never worried about spoilers with this show. Due to the books, you knew everything that would happen in the first few seasons and it never made a difference. I knew Ned Stark would die, but it still hit me like a punch to the gut. You knew the Red Wedding was about to happen, but that didn't lessen the thrill (or disgust). And, while it's been changing for a while now (really since season 5) the show STILL managed to deliver at times whether you knew what was coming or not. The explosion of the Sept last year was a blast (pun intended) due to the style of it all. Cersei calmly sipping her wine. Tommen falling from the window. It worked, and knowing in advance only made you appreciate the execution that much more.

But, while it's been coming on for a while, this is the Season that Broke the Spoiler's Back. The hits (there are still some) are fewer and farther between while the misses are piling up like the body count in episodes of old. Spoilers DO ruin things now, because the show simply isn't good enough anymore to pull it off. It no longer has the time (or willingness) to make things count and is instead counting on the "Oh, Shit" moments that are meant to shock, but are never truly earned. The Dany and Jon romance? False and empty. The unwillingness to kill a single major character in last weeks episode (or the last several seasons for that matter)? Spineless. Heroes stranded on an icy lake for days and a Night King that can out-javelin the greatest olympic athlete? Writers block and desperation. Inconsistent chracters (Sansa) and those that flat out make no sense (Arya)? Lazy. I could go on, but I only find myself becoming more and more irritated as I go.

Please don't misunderstand. It's still a fine show, but only in comparison to all the other shows out there today. In comparison to itself, it doesn't stand a chance.

So, if I want to stand any chance of enjoying the rest of this ride, I suppose I need to be willing to fall for the gimmicky shocks and the hand-waving that has become more and more common as of late. Maybe if I go in blind, the zombie dragon would shock me enough that I could overlook the flaws and the rest of the show falling apart at the seams. Perhaps ignorance, in this case, really is bliss.

I have to say that the javelin scene didn't bug me at all. The Night King is supernatural and simply did something a normal human couldn't do. He's f'ing magical just like dragons. All the time warping feels more unnatural

I am not GOT expert in any sense, but it seems to me he was waiting for the dragons to show up and take one down. So is the "Song of Fire and Ice" about the dragons then?

Partially. Dragonfire is one of the things that can destroy walkers/wights. And Dragonglass is an extension of that. Plus, Valyrian steel was forged with dragon fire.

Another angle is that Jon was raised by the fire god. He's a fire wight of sorts which is a counter to the ice wights.

Fine. Then I expect him to also be able to jump 20 feet in the air and shoot lasers from his eyes.

Both of which he'll probably do if the writers put themselves in another hole and need a convenient way out. *Cough* giant ice chains to haul downed dragons" *cough*

There's plot holes aplenty, to be sure. Superhuman strength just doesn't bug me though. How easily Littlefinger is manipulating Arya definitely bugs me.

Not trying to be a contrarian, but I think (and hope) it will be revealed that Arya has been pulling the strings and will pull Littlefinger's punk card.

I'd like to think that, but she's acting very "little sister" with Sansa. And the weird confrontation in the bedroom. Weird as f**k

She was playing the game of faces with Sansa. The goal is to lie without them knowing. Maybe she knows she was being watched since she has been in doing it in her own face.

It is what it is guys. It's how the story goes.

When Sean Bean died (again), I was sort of bummed. When Robb + family got erased, I was sort of bummed. This thing is full of surprises. It's bad, but it's not bad.

I did not know dragonglass had kryptonian properties and gave the Nite Pimp Doomsday powars. But it's how the story goes.

Given the circumstances, I wish there were more dragons. But then again, that would mean more ice dragons potentially. And that would mean less chances of survival for the peoples of Toys-R-Us.

Arya and Sansa are very human. We shall see how things play out. I don't like LikingFinger nor Saucy. Hell, I probably like the Nite Pimp better. But they play a part in the story. And the story is good. So life is good.

I sure as hell want to see how that Saucy/Dany meet is going to go down.

The Sansa and Arya petty bullshit is very annoying and not interesting to watch. Plot holes are lining up. I still enjoyed the episode for the most part though.

Sad about Danys dragon, but now we get this:

I can safely say the thing that pissed me off the most is Jon not being dead of exposure several times over that episode. A nice day and night of cracking open cold ones with the boys, a dip in a frozen lake, followed by a casual horseback ride through some weather cold enough to kill people who are well prepared for it?

I'd hate for Jon to be dead in the show, but f**k whoever wrote him alive after that. It's not even suspension of disbelief so much as it is actively shoving it in a hole and telling it to put lotion on its skin.

The timing is seems all screwed up this season but I couldn't care less - dragons are fighting and kicking ass now!!

I had to go back and remember the history of the White Walkers and origin of the Night King.

For anyone else who's forgotten, Night King was stabbed by a magical blade by the Children of the Forest because new Westeros humans were killing them and needed help. Now the Night King can create White Walkers (ones that sorta look human) and those can create Wights (the zombies).

What I still don't know or understand yet is why the Night King turned on the Children and why they're coming to kill everyone. The wall defended them once but now they re-grouped and going for it again? Why? Something must have happened to the Night King. He's mad because he basically can't die and hates beyond forced into that state?

    ---

I'm also waiting for Bran's power to be unleashed somehow. His character has been way too silent this season, something big has to be coming. Like taking over a dragon or some shit!

Like I said before, also note Jon already has a wet and juicy slot there waiting to be satisfied and filled with creamy kryptonian dragonglass in order to create the Not-The-Nite-Pimp hero Toys-R-Us needs but not the one it deserves.

Just a theory. Remember the Azor Ahai story. Something like that could happen in some shape or form. There is potential.

He'll "ride" one of the dragons with his "crow commanding" abilities...
