That's a good price for sure! I bought mine from beezar used for $1750, and sold mine to failed engineer here for $1550 iirc. They retailed for $2400 new from ECP back in 2015/2016-ish.

I never posted impressions (idk if it's just me, but I'm hesitant to post impressions of unobtainium/OOP gear because it just feels self-serving), but if you have a 3f I would highly recommend checking this dac out. It uses a very high quality switching power supply and a lot of regulation to have lower noise than the walnut x.1/x.3, which made it sounded punchier and more dynamic from my experience. It uses cinemags (iirc CMOQ-4HP -- high nickel) that have a little "extra bite" and more detail. I highly recommend it if you like the sound of the 3F and want something like that in DAC form, as a lot of the strengths/overall sound carry over!

oh man... that exactly matches my 3f... and the walnut V stacks on the 3f?

From a sound standpoint, is it basically the same as the walnut x3 that I have on another system?

    -----edit-----
should have read @pure5152 's post... but appreciate any other comments.

C'mon man, matching aesthetics are just as important as system synergy at this point in the game...

It's beautiful looking DAC and any 3F owner will be tempted to buy it just for aesthetics

“Demo sample” Fostex T50RP mod kit, $110 obo. Good deal considering you get two sets of pads. One pad pair appears to be T60RP pads which I paid $40 for seperately. The other pad pair appears to be Massdrop T-X0 pads. Unfortunately for some, these are definitely mk3 drivers. Also good deal because its unique and you get T-X0 headband support which is an extra premium usually bought aftermarket or standard with T60RP. Also interesting because you get two sets of different baffle foam.

If its inclusive of all original accessories then it comes with some sweet stickers too!

^That looks like an awesome kit, BTW.
May be the same stuff as we developed for the TX-0 II project that did not make to full launch.
Pro-tip: stuff one of the pairs of the foam baffle rings BEHIND the driver to really stuff the cups and use all the small custom cut pieces too. (Marv figured this out.)

Good to know Yggdrasil is now an appreciating asset! At least it's doing better than the $58 (no, $54 now...) I have in crypto.

In all seriousness, this is kinda shitty. But only $50-worth of shitty. Karma's a bitch if it's only worth an extra $50 in your pocket...

sorry but I don’t understand your message. To avoid any misunderstanding, I can explain:

I bought the Yggdrasil LIM new from schiit in like July for msrp of 2100 plus taxes and shipping. Had it for a few months. Decided to sell it to try something else. Listed it on headfi for 1600, listed it here for 1550 cause I always list things here for less than I do on headfi. Sold it to a contributor / acquaintance here for 1550.

    Does that help?

It helps me feel better - I'd imagined somebody here bought it for $1550 and immediately tried to flip it for $1600 on Head-Fi. I'm guessing @yotacowboy thought the same.

It’s funny, cause my handle is identical on both sites, and created the for sale listings on the same day LOL. Glad everyone feels better. It would indeed suck if a sbaf member would buy something to immediately flip.
