No. I do the same thing when I see Indians speaking in hindu then they start talking to me in hindu. Yes, I'm actually half Indo but I'm 100% 'Merica Babyyy. They get pissed when I tell them I speak only English. They also get pissed when I'm with my white GF in an Indian restaurant. A lot of the first gen are so fucking racist.
No, I do the same thing with Hebrew speakers and I live in an area with a ton of Israelis. My wife, who speaks Hebrew, rolls her eyes at me tho.
No, I look either Indo, Hindu or South American and I am used to people assuming I am one of them. Thing is I am Dutch. If I do not understand you, I simply do not. If you prefer your own language fine. Just do not expect mutual understanding or good service when you keep speaking your native tongue in say "Amsterdam, London or New York." Just saying...
