For the record, I have no brand loyalty with PCs. We need Intel and AMD to slug it out in good competition.

I have 3600x incoming. Btw what cpu cooler do you use for it? Just wondering.

I'm using a Corsair H115i Platinum. Unfortunately, my case doesn't support like 95% of air coolers due to clearance issues (Lian Li 011 Dynamic). With this config I get about 50 degrees C delta over ambient, so stays pretty cool actually.

@Vtory, I should mention I'm running at stock voltages and clocks. Only thing I did was apply DOCP for the RAM profile.

The 3900X has been a true workhorse for my VM farms. Too bad so many enterprise Microsoft applications apps are un-optimised. Set a 16 core VM for SQL synchronize and task manager reveals it only uses two cores at full with the rest idling. Still a nice step-up from my previous Duron.

Really impressed with my 3700x. Using a noctua U12S for cooling. Completely dominates my old 4790K.
