@fraggler LTT is at least sometimes entertaining in a court jesterly way. Never took much fun out of ASR.

I'll save Tech Jesus' video for tomorrow, but yea, I like videos from LMG but I found their lab results boring, and think about the added error... I wish the lab could be really helpful for new PC buyers but currently... meh.

Still not watched the video but I never took LTT seriously. I watch them for news, coverage and entertainment.
If I want to make a purchasing decision I check out GN and Hardware Unboxed (HU/MU are criminally underrated).

Watched the video and damn I didn't expect it to go this hard. I always suspect Linus to be a scumbag but now I know.

Woopee the shill makes videos like making babies.

Linus always low-key sucked, but it wasn't really an issue when LTT was just a garage band unboxing channel. Now he's doing the same dumb shit as ever, except with the trappings and influence of a multi-million-dollar media company behind him.

While watching GN's video, I realized that deep down I love LTT's jank but when it comes to data, I choose videos from GN or HU, just as @nishan99 said.

And, put the errors aside, LTT video on data always seems to be rushed, sometimes I have to pause to read.

I won't say LMG is becoming ASR, since I don't go there, but I'd say it's like Head-fi: everything is awesome (exaggerated), can't be taken seriously.

The whole LMG becoming ASR thing was more with respect to their not conducting measurements properly and going by arbitrary measures to determine the value of the whole, but yeah in terms of vibe they're more HF meets Lego Movie.

@YMO just caught the edit but hey making babies is supposed to be fun and expensive; this seems like the diametric opposite in both cases :P

Linus response to the GN video sucked, Steve's newest video really tackled it well and exposed him as a liar too. Billet Lab's posted their statement and they even sent LMG a 3090ti to test properly with. But even lost confidence they will get that back.

Linus got a 44m video showing his team is rushing content, making errors and actions are screwing over others. But doesn't address most of them. Awful

Yeah, LGS only went on and tackled the easiest topic but somehow fumbled that too when it came out that he'd been obfuscating truths about Billet "invoicing" and the timeline of agreeing to reparations. Jesus.

GN team is good, may I say solid journalistic practices?

Lol. Sorry. Just joking. You were the first to bring to my attention all the stuff going on and I saw this update about the apology and shutting down for a week.

Gotcha. Nah I'm just slightly brain dead at the moment so have trouble with entirely text humour haha. It's a weird situation and I until recently watched the channel for fun (GN or HUB for strict information), but this has been a mess indeed.
