I was always a cable sceptic, open to a possible minuscule difference. But now I think I hear quite a strong improvement. Still not 100% convinced if I’m not imagining it, it takes too long to switch cables for reliable A/B.

Funny: I thought the short black insulated Claire I had for a while last summer and sold with a HP sounded a bit darker than the stock Focal cable. If anything, my new cable with transparent insulation sounds brighter. A matter of color, after all? :)

But anyway, I feel that my headphones sound even better with the new cable, and that’s a good feeling, no matter if it’s placebo or real.

Same. I really didn't want cables to make a difference, because life would be simpler that way. But then I built a bunch myself to test that theory and was surprised at how much of a difference they made. I've settled on building my own using Neotech chassis wire, though, and that's worked quite well for me.

Cables are snake oil BS....or so I thought until I tried a silver plated one for my HD600
