What are you listening to now? 90's edition

Excellent f'ing choice. It's hard to understate how much Massive Attack (and the wider Bristol scene) has meant for my musical development. Trip-hop remains, in many ways, genre zero for me. It explains my broader preferences for electronica, hip-hop, and even R&B. This is a good selection from Mezzanine, probably their strongest album and certainly their most important. I'll add my own pick from the album.

I'll also throw out the title track from the earlier Protection.

This thread has me revisiting my 90's tunes and rediscovering lot's of old favorites. Here's a selection of some 90's covers of 80's tunes... I love 80's music but "came of age" in the 90's...

 

So the their self-titled album with "No Rain" is indeed very good...

But "Soup"? Another level entirely:

 

One of the best albums from the 90s.

 

How about a 90's era band covering a 80's song in the early 00's?

 

This, strictly speaking is (just) an 80's song, but I remember it from the early 90's. I'm going to post it here.
