I shouldn’t say “real”, because I don’t want to disparage work in retail. It’s just that the job I had was a dead end, unless I wanted to move hours away to become a key-holder. This job offers me the chance at a viable career without requiring me to move all over the country.

I have a PS4 pro. Are they getting hard to get ahold of? I haven't been keeping up. Mine hasn't turned on since I got a PS5.

I haven’t been able to find one that’s brand new at MSRP. Buying new puts the price at or above a PS5. Which is insane. Because this one is certified by Sony, it comes with the same warranty etc. as a new console. Would love to find an equivalent Xbox One X, but Microsoft doesn’t seem to offer an official refurbished console.

It seems like scalpers bought up all the PS4 Pro stock and charge around $600 to $700 per unit. I’ve seen priced even higher than that.

I just finished ME: LE. I never played the original. Such a great series. Andromeda may be next on the radar.

I recently played through Andromeda and thought it was sadly underrated. I really liked Andromeda but unfortunately the next one won't be continuing it.

I think it’s seriously underrated. I get it. The magnitude of the original trilogy made it probable that any sequel would appear paltry in comparison. And the game itself has its issues. Eg, bugginess and a story that’s something of a thematic retread of the originals.

Really just shows how bad the OG was. I'm getting along fine with it in the remaster.

I remember hitting literally a pebble just right once and ended up doing a barrel roll straight into lava (which used to be instakill).

I played the original. And I don’t deny that the Mako handles much better in the Legendary Edition. But take a world like Casbin. f**k Casbin. Perhaps it’s poor level design and not poor physics.

I am routinely blown away by it.

Update: @bixby ftw. Serendipitously, I located my passcode on an old piece of paper that has somehow followed me through two moves. This allowed me to reset my passcode and, finally, set up my new iPad Pro.

A true standout as an all-rounder, especially for a portable. The amp is solidly neutral with well-proportioned if unexciting macrodetails, better than expected microdetails, and more than adequate stage positioning. The DAC is kinda on the boring side, but at least it's inoffensive.

DAC via usb sucks.. surprisingly nice via coax, IME.

Damn. I bought mine on Amazon in mid-December. Seem to remember paying $70 for it.

Shit! I totally forgot to mention that! I’ve even toggled that on and off a few times. What’s really nostalgic is the menu/storage box sound effects from the original. The original soundtrack is great, too. But once you start the game with the “gritty”, realistic sound design, the soundtrack seems somewhat intrusive. Still, it’s so satisfying to run around the main hall with the original music playing.
