I felt like it's seven dollars worth of movie, but not much more. It's not as slick or as funny as it makes itself out to be, but it's such a good cast that I don't feel cheated.

I wouldn’t say it’s to make sense of the second movie, I would say it’s to ignore the second movie entirely and try to salvage some semblance of a decent story after that dumpster fire

What do you think of the Mandalorian? I have enjoyed it more than anything outside of the OG2 and Rogue One. Haven't watched the animated stuff yet.

I've been really enjoying the Mandalorian (I've watched 3 episodes so far) and thought Rogue One was good too. I thought The Force Awakens was alright, and The Last Jedi was pretty awful. I think I will wait for the Rise of Skywalker to come out on Blu Ray and streaming etc.... so I can slob in the basement and turn it off if its terrible.

Give the Mandalorian a shot :) Its kinda silly, but in a harmless nice way.

The Mandalorian, to me, is ... fine. There's no real tie-in to the lore of the SW Universe and each of the past few episodes have felt like individual side quests as opposed to installments of the type of larger overarching story that I would have hoped for. But it's competent and not offensive at least.

I came in to the episode hoping for 'Oh Hell Yeah' from the very beginning, and that didn't happen. Most of the story is sparse, barren, and on a smaller 'TV' scale than I was hoping for. But... in that last 90 seconds, I did get some of that 'Oh Hell Yeah' that this has a chance to be very legit. Jury is out. You'll see what I'm talking about when you watch the episode, which you can do right now for free.

And 'LOL' at The Last Jedi not being available on Disney's own streaming service. I assume that Netflix or somebody currently has exclusive contractual rights to stream that movie... but I'm choosing to imagine that the film has been disowned by Disney for 'reasons'.

I gotta get Disney to find out, but it's probably well worth it.

Nice to see your faith in the SW universe hasn't completely shattered. Lord knows, we've every reason to give up at this point.

I have some confidence in Favreau. His plots generally make sense, which would be a step up.
