Speaking of Massive Attack, the into of this track is definitely borrowed from MA.

What genre would you call the Idles music? Punk, post-punk, hardcore?

And the voice on this guy is kind of a mashup of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and maybe Morrisey.

I'd lean toward calling it "post-punk", but I'm picking up some The National indie-rock vibes - from these two songs anyway. Good stuff.

You can call it another lonely day...

One of a handful of records I managed to literally play to death. Luckily my mother's copy was still in good shape.

I just listened to the CD last night (or night before?). Ordered used CD to round out the REM collection.

Been on a massive Prog binge lately. Here's some of the go-tos and absolute bangers I've accumulated. @SoupRKnowva might appreciate some of these.

The riff into guitar solo from Danger by The Home Team just hits so smoothly, it gives me goosebumps every single time. Jeff Loomis is a riff wizard.

Neon Grave by Dayseeker blindsided me like a semi-truck. It really blends all the elements of prog together that I love. The firm and unwavering vocals, the catchy riffs, and the absolutely melodic and powerful drums.

Dance Gavin Dance has been one of my all time favorite bands for a long time. Awkward is one of their songs that clicks with me the most. I've always been struggling through difficult times in my life and this song just hits home so hard. If you ever get the chance, go take a small deepdive on their history of lead vocalists and their wild personalities. Each one shaped a different era of the band and it's a wild time.

Mikasa by Veil of Maya. I first heard this song completely blind at a concert for Dance Gavin Dance and Polyphia. I felt the entire venue levitate from the power of this song in conjunction with the absolute madness that was the moshpit. The overwhelming urge to knock shit over and f**k the establishment is so empowering with this song. 9/10, 10/10 with rice.

Pyromance by Indighxst. You ever just start crying while listening to a song without realizing it? This is that song for me. The lyrics hit so close to home after recovering from my abusive and leechlike ex-girlfriend of 5 years. The vocalist has this beautiful melodic voice that melds so well with the synth in the background. The drums and guitar punch just right with the choruses. 10/10 would cry to every single time.

    Absolutely epic-professional singer and entertainer.

Apparently, the Tom-Jones-Female-Audience thing was to throw their knickers at the guy. I love that, apparently, the only love in his life was his childhood sweetheart that he married.
