Wrapping up Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, and slowly going back through my collection of books by Arthur C. Clarke. I love sci-fi.

I have been considering reading something from Andy Weir after i get done with what I am reading. I think it was "Artemis" was the one I was thinking of reading. I haven't had great luck with Authors that have had movies made from their direct work. But I may give him a try.

Artemis was okay, I agree Project Hail Mary is better.

I also recommend John Scalzi, and the Old Man's War series. And if you haven't read it, Ender's Game is a classic.

I just realized - it’s been a couple of years since I’ve come to this site to talk about audio! Lol. I’ve been bouncing around in the non-audio sections instead. This still feels like one of the few forum's where I can still connect with like-minded people, especially since forums aren’t as popular as they used to be. A lot of these longer discussions seem to have moved to Discord or, of course, Reddit, which is still going strong. Just an observation—carry on! :punk:

Holy shit, it's been over a year since I started The Crippled God.... I finished it this morning

The amount of time I spent reading this last year has been very minimal, only the last month or so I got back to reading more often and finished this one up.

Malazan Book of the Fallen is easily one the greatest things I have ever read, and I'm not sure I'll ever have the opportunity to read something like it ever again. The Crippled God was a fantastic closing chapter to the series. If you like epic fantasy and aren't afraid of a tougher read, I can't recommend this series enough, it is absolutely worth the effort and time required.

I can't wait for Erikson to finish The Tales of Witness series so I can come back to this world.

Awesome! I am working my way through it now, I agree, these books are just f'ing badass! Glad you got to finish the series! I am chomping at the bit to start the other books but patient enough to finish this series first. I want to read them in timeline order eventually, is such an epic undertaking by these two dudes!

I actually dont have much interest in the Esslemont series, Ive heard the writing isn't up to nearly the same level, and so much of my love for Malazan comes from that. I may eventually read them for the story bits though. But im way more interested in the tales of witness as Karsa is my favorite character and we never got enough of him...
