This tune makes my soul happy. Hard to pick a favorite version.

 

Derek And The Dominoes: Live At The Filmore expanded version.

The 4 CD bootleg and the original In Concert CD sound better to me. They cleaned up the sound and increased clarity with this release but removed the rich tone and dynamics. Still a very good sounding recording.

 

What "single" song could you listen to a thousand times? I don't expect to ever get fed up with this one:

Clapton:EC Was Here .... I have the Crossroads live box set. But when I want a quick 70's live listen this is what I always pick.

 

Both double LP's from 1974. Both have sides 1 & 4 on disc one and sides 2 & 3 on disc two. I'm guessing for stacking record players to play side 1&2 non stop then flip both? Kinda makes me want to find a stacking spindle for the Dual and bring it to the listening room for lazy night time listening. Love the songs on the the flying burrito brothers compilation but sound quality for most of them is pretty bad, tinny and shrill. The live Zappa levels are blown out occasionally but it sounds great.

Yes, that is the reason they did that. But no, you do not want to do that to your LPs!

 

I would do it to the Flying Burrito Bros, not the band in general or my other LP's by them, but that was my first listen to that album on the higher resolution system and I think it gave my ears syphilis.
