Really?? Should have said, both are being fed from Eitr. When I switch, I'm really not noticing anything instantly. Perhaps because I'm using SE outs into Saga? Need to do some critical listening in the next few days.
I’m using the Eitr too. I went from Modi Multibit -> Gungnir Multibit. The Modi Multibit is great but the differences were increasingly apparent the better the headphone I used. My main hp has been the Utopia since before the Gungnir Multibit. What’s your chain?
Caveat: My Mj2 and Fulla 2 weren’t ideal for comparison.
I'm on speakers, which maybe is why I'm missing some of the nuances upon initial listening. Chain is: SOTM SMS-200 Ultra > Eitr > Modi Multibit/Gungnir Multibit > Saga > Vidar > Dynaudio Special 40
Also went from Modi Multibit to Gungnir Multibit, and @BenjaminBore's first reply sums it up for me. All those aspects became even more pronounced after upgrading everything downstream. But I definitely respected the Modi Multibit's value even more after the upgrade.
I had wondered this. My Gungnir Multibit is about 2+ years old, maybe older (purchased used). My Modi Multibit is 2-3 months old I believe (according to the guy I bought it from).
Also went Modi Multibit -> Gungnir Multibit; the difference was immediately apparent. Modi bought new at end of Feb, wonder if its one of the new ones. :O
